Located on the NC State University campus, the NC Solar Center offers information on renewable energy to consumers and businesses. The Center's goals are to stabilize energy costs for consumers, stimulate local economies, reduce dependence on foreign fuels, and lessen the environmental impacts associated with fossil fuels.
The Center offers many programs that homeowners will find useful. The Center's Solar House is a demonstration showcase of active and passive solar technologies and other energy efficient innovations. The Center's Healthy Built Homes program assists residential builders in creating energy efficient housing. For business and industry, the Center provides educational programs in renewable energy technologies, "green" building, and clean transportation, among others. For more information on the Center, see www.ncsc.ncsu.edu
